Its nearly time to start...........
Arrghhhhh, I am so excited, it is nearly time to start the diploma in silver jewellery.
Let me take you back to the beginning and give you a bit of background to this story.
I signed up to do this course back in January which feels like a lifetime ago now and I have been counting down the months and the days. I kept checking my account on Jewellers Academy to see if any more content has been added to the course and each time, nothing, not that I was expecting there to be, just wishing and hoping.
Materials package
I gradually purchased the outstanding items from the very extensive list bit by bit each month. It was great to see my tool kit expanding and with each delivery of tools no matter how big or small they were, it felt like Christmas and each time the excitement for starting the diploma came to the surface and grew.
A month or so ago now I received that magical email, ‘Your materials kit will be shipped to you this week’…….
OMG………… nervous excitement was an understatement. I kept checking my emails to see what day it was going to arrive, would it be today, would it be tomorrow and then the email I had been waiting for ‘Your materials kit is out for delivery’, wahooo!!!! What time will it be here; I kept checking to see if I had any tracking updates, nothing.
Unpacking materials kit.
I carefully and methodically opened all the bags one by one, ensuring not to mix anything up as they are all labelled by ‘term’ and then inside each term bag there are bags for each week.
Hurry up September I’m ready and I want to get started.
Confirmation email
With the diploma I had several options when i signed up:
just the course
course, tool kit and materials kit
course and materials kit
just the materials kit
just the tools kit.
I decided to just have the course and the materials kit and I would source the rest of the tool kit myself as I had quite a few of the tools needed already.
New tools.
Soldering station set up.
As I walked back with my daughter, talking to her and asking how her day had been and what had she done today, as I do every day when I pick her up, the usual response is ‘nothing’ or ‘can’t remember’! I could see a white van parked outside the house. EEEKKK “quick” I said to my daughter and started to run, which If you know me, I don’t do running. My daughter got all excited asking, “why are we running mummy”, it was my delivery and I was like a child on their birthday and couldn’t wait to unwrap my presents.
Workbench ready.
