T3 Week 8 - Beading techniques
This week was a bit of a catch up week again as I have done a little beading before. Beaded stacking bracelets and making a matching or at least complimetary cluster pendant and earring set.
I really enjoyed this week and will definitely be making more cluster pendants.
We were shown how to wire wrap gemstone briolettes in order to make cluster pendants and earrings, basic beading techniques and how to make my own earring wires (which I already do). The bracelets had to have different patterns in each one and we were to make a stacking set of three to compliment each other.

Gemstone Briolette wire wrapping. Beading and wire wrapping is very calming and therapeutic. Depending on the size of your beads, be that gemstone or other materials your wire needs to fit through the hole. You can use sterling silver wire for a more high end version or you can use silver plated, gold plated, copper or alluminium. These wires also come in different colours.
For this I used sterling silver wire and gemstone beads. We also used sterling silver headpins in order to thread the beads onto and to create a look at the top.
